We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Estimator to join our team and play a critical role in developing accurate project estimates, competitive bid proposals, and successful project pursuits.

Position Summary
The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for reviewing project plans and specifications, preparing detailed cost estimates and quantity takeoffs, analyzing vendor and subcontractor quotations, and developing competitive bid proposals for commercial electrical construction projects.
This position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, designers, contractors, and vendors to deliver accurate and profitable project estimates.
Key Responsibilities
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for commercial electrical systems.
- Prepare accurate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
- Develop comprehensive bid proposals and pricing strategies.
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
- Analyze project risks, scope gaps, and value engineering opportunities.
- Maintain estimating databases, historical costs, and pricing information.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, architects, and clients throughout the bidding process.
- Ensure estimates comply with National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements and industry standards.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project reviews when required.
- Support transition of awarded projects to operations and project management teams.
Required Qualifications
Must-Have Skills
- Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems and National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Proficiency with ConEst estimating software (or similar electrical estimating platforms)
- Advanced Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents
- Experience preparing detailed cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, and bid proposals
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of commercial electrical estimating experience
- Experience estimating commercial electrical construction projects
- Proven ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within the New York City construction market
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Understanding of local construction practices, codes, and procurement processes
