Your Role on Our Team: The Engineering Technician will be responsible to support the new product development, technology evaluations, warranty investigations, and root cause analysis for lithium-ion cells. As part of this position, you will also organize and interpret test results and maintain laboratory equipment.

You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

Responsible for maintaining high level of safety in all aspects of our lab processes.

Maintain effective test methods and procedures for all test requests.

Utilize dataloggers, power supplies, DMMs, and current probes.

Utilize MS Software Suite especially Excel.

Perform accurate tests in a timely manner.

Writing work instructions and process documentation.

Troubleshoot and maintain test equipment.

Thermocouple prep and welding.

Perform resistance welding.

Follow PPE lab guidelines.

Interface with internal and external suppliers/vendors for services, equipment, and information.

Communicate effectively between different levels of the organization.

Adopt and promote Milwaukee Tool values and culture to other team members.

Review, analyze, and prepare recommendations relative to new or improved methods, equipment, etc.

Maintain 5s and safety standards.

Proper disposal of tested materials.

Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned.

The TOOLS you’ll bring with you:

Willingness to learn.

Able to work in team environment.

Basic knowledge of current, voltage, and resistance (Ohms Law).

Ability to multitask and adapt to situations.

Ability to organize daily tasks.

Basic computer skills and experience in Microsoft office.

Other TOOLS we prefer you to have:

An associate degree in Electronics is preferred.

3+ years of highly successful experience working in a laboratory environment in working with lithium-ion cells is desired.

Operative knowledge of cell testing machines.

SolidWorks experience helpful.

Solid background in troubleshooting and repairing of electro-mechanical systems.
