The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) division is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager to manage a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for electrical design, wire installation and wire design, and integration activities in Tukwila, WA.
This leader will drive technical excellence, resource acquisition, supplier management, and process improvements while fostering a collaborative culture aligned with Boeing’s values, including tool development for automation, design requirement verification, common process development for the EDI capability under MS&B across multiple programs, and future architecture optimizations.
Position Responsibilities:
Manage, develop, and motivate a team of engineers and technical staff performing Electrical Wire Design, Wire/Equipment Installation, Wiring Provisions, Certification, Change Management, and Build/Supplier engineering activities across multiple programs.
Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures, and set operational goals to meet program requirements.
Provide technical oversight, review, and approval of electrical design, wire installation, wire design, and integration approaches.
Oversee cost account management, Level of Effort spending, Quarterly EAC input, and acquire necessary resources for projects and processes. Lead and influence discussions with Program Finance for funding approvals.
Manage supplier technical performance and drive continuous process improvements.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.
Promote a culture of active listening, servant leadership, and open communication to develop and motivate employees.
Report progress and escalate issues to senior management as needed.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Aircraft Systems, Mission Systems, System Engineering Integration & Test, Operations, Structures, Production Engineering, and Supply Chain teams and represent wiring action plan.
Support Boeing’s Global Initiative by teaming with Boeing India Technical Excellence Center (BITEC).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Experience in a technical leadership position
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
5+ years of experience in Electrical design; including but not limited to Electrical Systems design, Wire Design, Electrical Equipment Installation and Wire Installation Design
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience in Electrical Wiring Interconnect system requirements development, architecture, and design for complex electrical systems
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience integrating electrical wiring with systems engineering and hardware integration
Experience with Commercial derivative Requirements and Certification process
Proven ability to collaborate across multiple functional groups including manufacturing and supplier management
Excellent communications skills, verbal and written
Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of management, customers, and partners
Master of Science in an engineering discipline
Previous management experience
Ability to build a safe environment of inclusion, transparency, and trust
Leadership skills to lead and influence positive outcomes
Previous experience in leading, mentoring, and engaging individuals and teams
