Job Overview:

We’re looking for a hands-on Electrical Engineer with a strong field presence to support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of heavy industrial equipment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of design, troubleshooting, and real-world application, working both in the shop and in the field to ensure optimal machine performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, troubleshoot, and upgrade electrical systems for heavy industrial equipment.

  • Lead retrofit projects to enhance the performance and reliability of existing machinery.

  • Provide technical support both in-house and on-site at customer locations.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, technicians, and production teams to develop integrated solutions.

  • Assist with product testing, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Document wiring layouts, modifications, and procedures with clarity and accuracy.

  • Ensure all designs and repairs comply with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of hands-on electrical engineering experience, preferably with heavy equipment or industrial machinery.

  • Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems (12V/24V DC, hydraulic controls, PLCs, sensors).

  • Experience with retrofitting, wiring, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems.

  • Comfortable working in a shop environment and traveling to customer sites or industrial locations as needed.

  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and problem-solve in real time.

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
