Based in our Boulder, Colorado location, you will participate in and support the development of proven technologies, products, and/or processes to meet company objectives for the advancement of ultrasonic flow measurement devices. This role is supporting our Measurement Solutions business.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Determine the nature, scope and viability of assigned projects. 
• Determine the technical design criteria for the project. Design and plan technical aspects of the project.
• Ensure that appropriate background information such as past designs, materials specifications, and governing code requirements has been researched and incorporated into the design effort.
• Perform necessary design calculations for the project, and ensure that calculations performed by others are accurate.
• Prepare rough sketches and notes for the design effort and forward to a junior engineer or technician for refinement.
• Ensure the documentation of all design criteria, calculations performed, and decisions made.
• Direct and oversee the efforts of technicians, designers, and drafters assigned to the project.
• Requires the ability to devise new approaches and solutions to problems identified and to modify and extend theories and practices within the field, as well as the ability to organize and lead engineering projects

For This Role, You Will Need:

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or a related field required.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant engineering experience
• Good working knowledge of advanced engineering principles, techniques and applications
• Legal authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• An understanding of embedded system design such as experience with microcontrollers, signal processing, analog-to-digital conversion, and communication protocols.
• Testing and Validation for use in Harsh environments, and experience with testing and validating embedded hardware for extreme conditions.
• Experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to bring a product from concept through design, development, testing, and release. 
• Prior experience with Schematic Capture and PCB Design with Altium or Cadence is a plus.
• LTSpice experience is preferred.
• Hazard area design experience a plus.

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $117,000-$136,959 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.​
