The Electrical Engineer III will lead the design and implementation of embedded systems in Outdoor Equipment category. You will work through the product development process in a team environment interacting with cross-functional stakeholders such as hardware, firmware, product development, and test engineers. This position will sit onsite at our headquarters in Anderson, South Carolina.
Primary Job Functions:
- Lead the development of hardware and firmware for battery management systems and power converters on mid-to-high complexity projects, including both digital and analog electronics and control firmware.
- Develop and implement Engineering Qualification Test Plans and ensure designs meet regulatory and performance standards.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (product management, mechanical engineering, test laboratory, manufacturing and quality) to support product development and manufacturing.
- Use laboratory equipment to debug and develop your design with oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, spectrum analyzers, ESD/EMC, data acquisition systems, and analysis software.
- Effectively communicate and motivate up, down and across the organization to a diverse range of technical and non-technical team members.
- Ensure projects are on schedule, driving urgency in achieving key milestones while following TTi’s product development process.
Required Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in embedded electronics design, specifically with 32-bit microcontroller-based circuits.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
- Proven experience in embedded hardware and firmware design.
- Self-motivated, organized, and process-oriented with a strong work ethic.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise independent judgment and thrive under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a dynamic environment.
