- Assess program risks, identify impact, and prepare/perform mitigation plans for customer and internal departments.
- Technical Design and Reviews
- Design simple to moderately complex metering and control solutions including signal conditioning, communication, power distribution, pump/motor control, etc. Interaction with a variety of technical disciplines is required for success including
- Motor control systems ranging from fractional HP to 1500HP and higher
- PLC, Remote I/O and similar Electrical/Electronic Systems
- Hydraulic, Fuel, and Pneumatic Systems
- System/Executive Software and Application Software
- Pick suitable key resources that meet testing requirements while minimizing cost.
- Support significant design decisions by calculations, simulation, and prototyping. Critical specifications must have documented analysis demonstrating design compliance.
- Lead effective technical design reviews and contribute to improving design knowledge by thoughtful contributions.
- Writing application code that commands the machine and interprets the results (typically Visual Basic, NI LabVIEW, NI TestStand, PLC) is a helpful plus.
