ROCKWOOL is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the North American Hub of our global engineering organization. This position is onsite at our state of the art facility in Ranson, WV, with extensive overseas travel required.

Travel the world and contribute your solid understanding of Electrical Engineering as you work with a great team of talented engineers! Ranson, WV is just a short drive from Northern VA, with the opportunity to work on projects for extended periods of time in the U.S., Canada, Europe and/or Asia. You will be instrumental in the planning and implementation of our new factory in Washington state.

Your Future Team

As an Electrical Engineer you’ll participate in all phases of projects: initial specifications and design, testing, commissioning and after service. Your assignments can vary from small machine deliveries and support cases to participation in large "Greenfield" factory projects on a global scale.

What You Will Be Doing

You’ll support electrical design; supervise installation/commissioning within one or more of these areas:

  • Medium and Low Voltage power distribution
  • Electrical melter systems
  • Process Control System layout/design/dimensioning
  • Electrical panels
  • Safe functions
  • Test planning

You’ll execute electrical implementation from initial phase to hand-over including:

  • Planning
  • Coordination within the team and external suppliers
  • Securing the quality of the deliveries and the electrical documentation package
  • Driving improvement initiatives within electrical design of ROCKWOOL melting plants
  • Travel extensively to and from Europe for long periods of time working on electrical design and implementation within current manufacturing facilities while learning ROCKWOOL processes

What You Bring

  • A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years of proven experience preferably within electrical design and building of manufacturing plants providing highly automated high-volume production
  • Experience with Electrical design and documentation in CAD software - preferably in ePlan.
  • Strong technical aptitude for technical analysis and problem-solving sometimes involving advanced processes and complex regulated systems
  • Ability to communicate efficiently to international colleagues across all levels in the organization.
  • Experience with requirements in NFPA 79 and UL 508A is an advantage.

The salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - 125,000.00. Your salary is determined based on location, experience and the pay of employees in similar positions.
