Job Overview:

We’re seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to join a growing team focused on designing and supporting industrial equipment systems. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining electrical and control systems that drive machine performance, reliability, and safety—from initial design through commissioning and ongoing support.

You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and service, while also contributing to technical documentation such as operation manuals and service instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, program, test, and support PLC and HMI systems for industrial equipment
  • Develop control architectures including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servos, sensors, and safety components
  • Write and maintain structured, well-documented control code
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA, UL, and OSHA safety standards
  • Create electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams
  • Select electrical components and develop bills of materials (BOMs)
  • Support panel building, wiring, and system verification
  • Review designs for compliance with applicable codes and standards
  • Participate in factory acceptance testing (FAT) and on-site commissioning
  • Troubleshoot electrical and control issues during startup and post-installation
  • Provide technical support to internal teams and customers

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) plus 3+ years of experience, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Experience working with PLC platforms and HMI development
  • Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems (480V, VFDs, motors, sensors)
  • Ability to read and create electrical schematics

Preferred Experience:

  • Background in industrial equipment, processing systems, or heavy machinery
  • Experience with motion control and servo systems
  • Familiarity with UL 508A and NFPA 79 standards
  • Field startup and commissioning experience
