Job Overview:

Seeking an Electrical Engineer to support design, commissioning, and reliability of a new advanced manufacturing line. The role focuses on electrical systems, project coordination, maintenance optimization, and continuous improvement across plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support safe work practices and equipment design for environmental, health, and safety compliance.

  • Participate in equipment design, installation, commissioning, and testing with internal teams and vendors.

  • Develop project scopes, review technical proposals, and manage timelines.

  • Lead reliability initiatives, including preventive/predictive maintenance, FMEA, and root cause analysis.

  • Implement and monitor key reliability metrics (uptime, MTTR, MTBF, etc.).

  • Provide training and technical guidance to maintenance teams.

  • Identify and execute improvements in equipment performance, efficiency, and reliability.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with automation, reliability, and engineering teams on process development and long-term planning.

  • Evaluate and upgrade existing electrical systems for reliability and obsolescence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • 3+ years of experience in industrial electrical engineering.

  • Strong knowledge of motors, drives, PLCs (Siemens preferred), and control systems.

  • Proven problem-solving and project management skills.

  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Preferred:

  • Experience in metal rolling, large capital projects, or process manufacturing environments.

  • Familiarity with hydraulic systems, servo systems, and electrical reliability principles.

  • CMRP certification is a plus.

You should be proficient in:

  • Electrical Troubleshooting Skills

Machines & technologies you'll use:

  • Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)
