Description
JOB DESCRIPTION: The Electrical/Power Engineer will provide product support for a variety of SCSG components and power systems. The position will play a crucial role in maintaining product integrity, evaluating opportunities, and integrating new component designs into existing systems.
The candidate should be able to read and understand schematics, plumbing, wiring diagrams, mechanical assembly drawings to analyze and identify possible misuse of solutions. Ability to work across disciplines with mechanical engineers, vendors, manufacturing personnel, and clients.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Must be willing to apply hands-on assistance to manufacturing.
- Must be able to apply good organizational skills to manage the inventory of the power components.
- Must be able to apply good technical ability relating to automation.
- Good practical problem-solving ability.
- Must be able to apply good communications skills to trouble shoot with clients.
- Works internally with SCSG engineering group to advise on estimating and designing solutions.
- Must be able to use MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
- Must have experience with system integration of modular components.
- Must have experience working with applicable electrical codes.
- Must be able to analyze and measure equipment to support test and troubleshooting at a component and system level.
- Must understand construction means, methods and sequences.
Environment & Working Conditions:
- Able to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Able to accommodate climate controlled environment uncontrolled climate environment
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to travel when required
Qualifications
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- BS Degree in electrical engineering degree with 3-5+ years experience or related discipline.
- Must have CAD drafting capabilities for schematic drawings, (SolidWorks Preferred).
- A good understanding of AC/DC motors.
- A good understanding and experience of PLC control systems functionality. (Preferred, not required)
- Hydraulic and Pneumatic experience a plus
