Job Overview:

How You Will Help:

  • Develop specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents for electrical projects.
  • Assist Purchasing with bidder lists and bid reviews by providing relevant, consolidated data to support the decision-making process.
  • Review, check and inspect vendor designs and electrical plans to ensure adherence quality standards.
  • Perform necessary fieldwork to gather field data, check tie-ins and provide electrical construction support.
  • Responsible for coordinating contractor onsite work and providing clear direction regarding ASC's requirements and standards, including electrical related safety requirements as it pertains to facility infrastructure projects.
  • Develop and track project schedules and costs.
  • Envision and develop project concepts for industrial power systems, electrical systems, lighting systems, UPS systems and emergency power.
  • Create and control project budgets and timelines (Gantt chart).
  • Determine power loads and energy requirements for newly installed equipment.
  • Combine specifications, standards, drawings, and other documentation into bid packages and solicit bids for equipment and/or services.
  • Manage all contractor activities including the inspection of completed work, approving vendor-supplied equipment to ensure compliance with specifications, and minimizing disruptions to normal plant activities.
  • Promote OSHA safety and industrial construction standards

What You Will Have:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience in the following area(s): Engineering function in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Possess strong working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) NFPA 70, NFPA 70E (Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace), and National Electric Safety Code (NESC / ANSI C2).
  • Must have knowledge of the design of electrical systems in an industrial environment including 13,800, 12,470 Volt, 4,160 Volt, and 480 Volt distribution.
  • Solid understanding of industrial power system protection, control and power monitoring, and industrial lighting systems.
  • Intermediate facilitation and project management skills.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs and Electrical Drives
  • Working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Experience with project scheduling and project scheduling software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • 4-year Engineering degree with 5 years related experience OR 10+ years of industrial project management experience in absence of a degree.
