Senior Electrical Engineer – Isolation & Power Integrity (Contract)**

Location: Onsite (preferred) / Hybrid considered

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support high-voltage power system design with a focus on electrical isolation, power distribution, and system safety architecture.

This role is responsible for ensuring safe separation and reliable operation across 50V DC, 600V AC, and 2kV DC systems, including power distribution design, isolation requirements, and compliance with industry safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and validate power distribution systems for 600V AC 3-phase and split-phase loads

  • Define electrical isolation requirements across 50V, 600V AC, and 2kV DC domains

  • Specify clearance, creepage, and dielectric withstand requirements

  • Design isolation barriers compliant with UL508A / IEC 60664-1 standards

  • Perform power budgeting, ampacity analysis, and load balancing

  • Analyze phase imbalance and support mitigation strategies

  • Size protection devices and feeder conductors per NEC requirements

  • Support DFMEA and system safety documentation

  • Participate in technical design reviews

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of electrical engineering experience in high-voltage systems, power distribution, or panel design

  • Experience with 600V AC and/or 2kV DC electrical systems

  • Strong knowledge of electrical isolation design (clearance, creepage, dielectric coordination)

  • Experience with UL508A or IEC 61439 / IEC 60664-1

  • Hands-on experience with 3-phase and split-phase power systems

  • Experience with load calculations, ampacity analysis, and power system protection

  • Familiarity with NEC requirements for high-power electrical systems

Preferred Experience

  • EV systems or high-voltage power electronics

  • ETAP, MATLAB, or similar power system modeling tools

  • Electrical panel or high-voltage system design experience

  • DFMEA experience in safety-critical systems

Tools

  • Excel / Google Sheets for system modeling

  • CAD tools for electrical design

  • Engineering analysis and documentation tools

You should be proficient in:

  • Engineering Degree
