In this position you will work closely with engineers supporting the development of aircraft mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic systems integration and test, communication, networking & computing or requirements decomposition and traceability for Cargo systems. You will get to work with a variety of engineers from across the world to bring to life a cargo system.

Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session that will run January - August (including the Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity). This role is onsite, in Jamestown, ND. This role may be eligible for relocation.

What You Will Do:

• You will prepare documentation including confidential descriptions or specifications of proprietary electrical hardware or software during the design development and change process.
• You will produce electrical design changes for post certification electrical engineering activity for commercial and military aerospace products.
• You will executes and facilitate the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of devices, components and circuitry for use in electronic equipment.
• You will research, develop, design and test electrical components, equipment, systems and networks to ensure that business objectives and required specifications are met.
• You will produce initial draft engineering drawings and documents and coordinate changes with Drafting to ensure accuracy.
• You will analyze and evaluate new or improved electronic components for use in power generation, transmission and distribution, rotating machinery, illumination, wire communication systems and servomechanisms systems.

• You will learn the fundamentals of electrical engineering for aviation programs.
• You will learn engineering design and configuration processes.
• You will learn methods for team collaboration in a diverse worldwide development environment.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Familiarity with TeamCenter Engineering.
• Cadence Software experience.
• SAP experience.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering.

The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
