As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will:
- Design electrical control systems, complying to engineering standards, applicable codes, customer specifications, and within cost constraints
- Evaluate and select electrical/electronic components for control systems.
- Review and interpret customer electrical specifications.
- Program and maintain design layouts and files in the computerized system.
- Layout, design and building test fixturing and work instructions.
- Work to detail the electrical design based on internal and external input using Solidworks Electrical Package
- Input data into ERP system / management to ensure design data reflects accurate information.
- Interface with customers, suppliers and internal personnel.
- Understand and apply specifications and regulatory information to the design and relevant processes.
- Work within established as well as variable timelines.
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records and documents as they relate to the design.
- Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations while maintaining departmental housekeeping standards.
- Travel as required 2-3 times per year to customer visits. At times may be planned while other times may be short notice.

Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering with three to five years of related experience.
- Understand, interpret, and create electrical schematics
- Strong computer, math and oral/written communication skills and attention to detail required
- Ability to create / read electrical drawings and diagrams.
- Knowledge of PCBA (preferred)
- Ability to run a technical presentation and speak professionally.
