Electrical Controls Technician – Industrial Machine Wiring

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Technician with industrial machine wiring and control panel experience. This role is responsible for wiring, installing, and troubleshooting industrial equipment operating on 240V–480V systems. The ideal candidate can read and interpret electrical schematics and electronic control diagrams (ECDs), build control panels, and complete machine wiring with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

This position requires hands-on experience with industrial electrical components, including motors, sensors, relays, contactors, breakers, and control circuits.

Key Responsibilities

• Wire and install industrial machinery and equipment based on electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and electronic control diagrams (ECDs).

• Install, route, label, and terminate wiring for motors, sensors, relays, control panels, and other electrical components.

• Build and wire electrical control panels according to engineering specifications and design drawings.

• Inspect completed wiring to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.

• Troubleshoot wiring issues and make necessary corrections during machine builds and installations.

• Use electrical testing equipment, including multimeters, to verify circuits and diagnose issues.

• Work closely with engineers, technicians, and supervisors to review drawings, resolve discrepancies, and complete projects accurately.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience wiring industrial machinery, equipment, or electrical control panels.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and ECDs.

• Experience working with 240V–480V electrical systems.

• Strong understanding of industrial electrical components including motors, contactors, relays, breakers, sensors, and control circuits.

• Ability to safely use electrical tools and testing equipment.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
