Job Details

Location:Stoughton, WI

Schedule:1st Shift | Monday–Friday

Employment Type:Full-Time

Pay:$29–$37/hour, depending on experience

Position Summary

We are seeking a Controls Technician to troubleshoot, maintain, and improve automated manufacturing equipment. This role is focused on PLCs, HMIs, industrial electrical systems, and control wiring.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and automated equipment
  • Diagnose electrical and controls-related breakdowns
  • Perform control wiring, repairs, and equipment modifications
  • Read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Troubleshoot sensors, relays, motor controls, VFDs, and related components
  • Support equipment installations and improvement projects

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of industrial electrical, controls, automation, or maintenance experience
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Hands-on PLC troubleshooting experience
  • HMI experience
  • Ability to read electrical schematics
  • Industrial wiring and electrical troubleshooting experience
  • Technical schooling, apprenticeship, or related electrical/automation training

Preferred Skills

  • Allen-Bradley / Rockwell PLCs
  • Studio 5000 or RSLogix
  • Ladder logic
  • VFDs and servo systems
  • Motor controls
  • Robotics

Physical Requirements

Ability to work around industrial equipment, climb ladders, use electrical/mechanical tools, and lift up to 60 lbs.
