Job Overview:

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Technician to support maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial equipment in a fast-paced production environment. This is a hands-on role focused on electrical systems, controls, and equipment reliability.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with PLC troubleshooting, motor controls, and automated systems, along with the ability to diagnose and repair complex electrical issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and controls-related issues on production equipment
  • Work with PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi) for troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Diagnose and repair three-phase motors, VFDs, and servo systems
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and ladder logic
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plant equipment
  • Support troubleshooting at the component level (circuit boards, wiring, sensors, etc.)
  • Utilize tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes to diagnose issues
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime
  • Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • 5–8+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or electrical controls
  • Strong troubleshooting experience with electrical systems and industrial controls
  • Experience with PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi preferred)
  • Knowledge of VFDs, servo drives, and motor controls
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
  • Comfortable working in a production environment on a night shift schedule

Preferred Experience

  • Associate’s degree or technical certification in Electrical, Electronics, or related field
  • Experience with component-level repairs and soldering
  • Exposure to high-speed or automated manufacturing environments
