We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Automation & Controls Technician to join a highly automated manufacturing facility supporting advanced production equipment and automation systems. This position is ideal for someone with a strong electrical and controls background who enjoys troubleshooting, improving, and supporting automated manufacturing processes.
The ideal candidate has experience working with PLCs, HMIs, industrial robotics, electrical controls, and automated production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Troubleshoot electrical and automation issues on manufacturing equipment and production lines.
Support PLCs, HMIs, control systems, and industrial automation equipment.
Assist with commissioning, debugging, and startup of new equipment and production lines.
Work with industrial robots, machine vision systems, sensors, servos, drives, and motion control equipment.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical drawings.
Support equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
Perform electrical troubleshooting on motors, sensors, relays, contactors, VFDs, and control circuits.
Assist with preventative maintenance while minimizing equipment downtime.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve equipment reliability and manufacturing efficiency.
Maintain accurate documentation for electrical modifications, troubleshooting, and system changes.
Follow all safety procedures and electrical standards while working on production equipment.
Associate degree or technical training in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Automation, Controls, or a related field preferred.
3+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing, automation, or electrical controls.
Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
Familiarity with HMIs, SCADA systems, industrial networking, and control systems.
Experience with robotics (FANUC, ABB, KUKA, or similar) is highly preferred.
Experience with machine vision systems such as Cognex or Keyence is a plus.
Strong understanding of electrical troubleshooting, industrial controls, and automation equipment.
Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a manufacturing environment.
