Job Overview:

Seeking 2nd Shift and Weekend Day Engineering technicians to support the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical controls and automation systems. Ideal candidates will enjoy solving technical issues and working with team members in a manufacturing setting. Apply now!


What You’ll Be Doing:

This engineering technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical controls and automation systems in various industrial applications. Will utilize experience with PLCs, SCADA systems and other automation technologies to engage in hands-on technical support on the production floor.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Others as assigned.

  • Install, configure, and maintain control systems, including PLCs, HMI software, Motors and Servos, Robots etc.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and control system issues to minimize downtime.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on control equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering, Maintenance, and production teams to design and implement control solutions that enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Document system modifications, maintenance activities, and standard operating procedures.
  • Train staff on control system operations and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Assist in the development of project specifications and timelines.

 

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology or related course of study.
  • Experience as a controls technician or similar role in the manufacturing industry.
  • Experience with robotics and automation
  • Hands-on programming PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens). Knowledge of Beckhoff PLCs and Indramett and Mottomanis a plus.
  • Familiar with HMI and SCADA systems
  • Knowledge of network fieldbus protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Ethercat)
  • Knowledge of motor control drives and motion (Powerflex, Kinetix, Indramatt)
  • Hands-on knowledge of Safety Electrical Drives (lockable switches, redundant wiring, test pulses, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with AutoCAD Electrical or similar.
  • Proficient with computer and programming software.
  • US person as defined by ITAR/EAR.


Schedule:

  • After successful conclusion of training the hours will be 2nd shift Monday - Thursday (4-10s) or Weekend Days Friday-Sunday (3-12s).
