Description
Develop new and support existing robotic automation systems. Projects often involve injection mold press tending, automated component feeding and assembly, laser marking, and vision inspection.
Identify and implement appropriate new technology, controls and automation to maintain a competitive advantage in the market.
Manage new projects considering budget/cost targets, delivery timelines and early build events.
Communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal personnel during all phases of new launches.
Troubleshoot and coordinate appropriate response measures for existing production equipment.
Responsible for electrical controls, simulation, programming, debug, and start-up assistance.
Ability to travel as needed (
Design & management of new automated equipment
Develop project proposals, budgets, timelines, & open issue logs
Generation and modification of control & pneumatic schematics
Robot, PLC, & HMI programming
Ensure that equipment performs as specified
Collaboration with outside vendors to ensure that all project goals are met.
Work with internal skilled trades, operators, and outside vendors to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
