Position Summary As a Manufacturing Controls Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the development and refinement of automated production equipment and systems. This role centers on software and electrical engineering, particularly with experience in Siemens S7 or similar programming platforms. From initial design to final implementation, you will collaborate across teams to build, test, troubleshoot, and optimize manufacturing systems. Your work will directly impact the reliability, scalability, and safety of complex production environments.

Preferred Qualifications

Hands-on experience with Allen Bradley RSLogix 5000 and AutoCAD Electrical

Prior exposure to robotic integration and motor control systems

Knowledge of pneumatic and servo-based system design

Ability to document engineering designs with clarity and precision

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution

3–5 years of experience in manufacturing controls engineering

Proficiency with Siemens S7 and MS Office Suite

Strong foundation in control system design and automated industrial applications

Position Overview The Manufacturing Controls Engineer will be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for designing, building, validating, and supporting electro-mechanical equipment. You will create electrical and control system solutions, ensuring all relevant safety and legal standards are met. Technical support throughout equipment lifecycle—from conception to commissioning—is central to the role. You will be expected to troubleshoot operational issues, interpret design challenges, and deliver accurate, innovative solutions.

Your engineering duties will include performing technical calculations, defining system requirements, and trialing new technologies. The role also involves creating comprehensive documentation such as operation manuals, network diagrams, and electrical schematics. A strong focus on software architecture is essential, as is the ability to build programs that are easy to test and maintain.

You will be actively involved in commissioning new systems both onsite and with suppliers, supporting builds that incorporate pneumatics, servos, VFDs, relays, and robotic integration. Success in this role requires critical thinking, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage multiple projects with precision.
