Job Overview:
Job Duties:
- Assemble electrical and electronic systems for prototype equipment and platforms
- Fabricate, route, install, and repair electrical harnesses and wiring systems
- Perform soldering and termination of connectors, terminals, and circuit boards
- Support integration of major mechanical and electrical subsystems
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions
- Assemble and install industrial-grade electrical connectors and associated components
- Perform troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems, including high-voltage applications
- Provide feedback on assembly processes, design improvements, and manufacturing efficiencies
Skills & Experience
Required:
- Experience soldering connectors, terminals, and circuit boards
- Experience fabricating, assembling, and repairing electrical harnesses
- Proficiency using electrical assembly hand tools, crimpers, soldering equipment, and power tools
- Experience working with high-voltage electrical systems, including motors, generators, harnesses, and power electronics
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and engineering documentation
- Experience performing assembly tasks from written, verbal, and drawing-based work instructions
- Experience with circular, sealed, and industrial electrical connector systems
- High school diploma, GED, technical certification, or equivalent hands-on electrical assembly experience
Desired:
- Experience supporting prototype equipment, automotive, industrial machinery, heavy equipment, or advanced manufacturing programs
- IPC soldering certification
- Experience with harness molding, overmold repair, or advanced cable assembly techniques
- Experience supporting electrical integration of complex mechanical systems
- Knowledge of high-voltage safety procedures and lockout/tagout practices
- Experience working with 3D models and digital engineering documentation
