We are currently seeking Electrical Assembly Tech to join our operations team!
Summary:
Our Electrical Assembly Technicians will assemble panels, cables, computers and other electronic sub-assemblies using engineering drawings, wire list and/or electrical schematics. They will self-inspect work to ensure that items are built in compliance with Key Technology wiring standards.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Builds electrical and electronic sub-assemblies using engineering drawings, wire lists, electrical schematics, work instructions and a variety of hand tools such as wire strippers, screw drivers, wire crimpers, wrenches, etc.
- Self-inspects work to ensure Key Technology quality standards are met.
- Assists in the creation of wire lists from schematics for experimental, prototype and/or first production run electrical equipment.
- Follow verbal and written instruction given by Production Supervisor.
- Clearly communicate any issues to Production Supervisor or Lead.
- Read and understand blueprints, work instructions and/or electrical schematics.
- Discusses layout and assembly procedures and/or problems with Engineering to resolve functional issues.
- Use various hand and power tools such as wrenches, screw drivers, wire crimpers, wire strippers, etc.
- Read and follow electrical schematics and written procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you will need to be successful:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and beginning computer skills. Formal classes from college, trade school or military service helpful.
- Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Ability to follow electrical schematics to wire machines and build electrical panels is a plus.
- Computer training/experience desirable.
