Job Title: Electrical Machine Assembler

Location: Onsite | Troy, Ohio

Pay Range: $27 - $32 per hour

Employment Type: Full-Time

Requirements

• Industrial electrical wiring, machine wiring, or control-panel assembly experience
• Ability to read and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts
• Experience installing and wiring PLC hardware, relays, contactors, breakers, power supplies, and terminal blocks
• Experience wiring motors, sensors, switches, actuators, and other industrial electrical components
• Strong knowledge of low-voltage controls, three-phase power, cable routing, termination, and labeling
• Hands-on electrical troubleshooting experience using multimeters, continuity testers, and related tools

Plusses

• Experience building or wiring custom machinery and automated equipment
• UL 508A control-panel construction experience
• Familiarity with NFPA 70/NEC and NFPA 79 standards
• Experience supporting machine startup, testing, installation, or commissioning
• Technical training or certification in Electrical Systems, Industrial Maintenance, Automation, or a related field

Role Overview: Hands-on electrical assembly role responsible for completing electrical wiring and installation for custom machinery and automated equipment. This person will work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and bills of materials to install control panels, field devices, power distribution components, and other machine electrical systems

Team Environment: Works closely with mechanical assemblers, engineers, and other team members to complete equipment on schedule. This position requires strong attention to detail, teamwork, safe work practices, and a commitment to producing accurate and reliable equipment

Ideal Candidate Background: Hands-on electrical assembler with experience wiring industrial machinery, control panels, and automated equipment. The strongest candidate will be comfortable reading electrical drawings, wiring controls and field devices, troubleshooting electrical problems, and producing clean, accurate work

Core Responsibilities

• Complete electrical wiring and installation for custom machinery and automated equipment
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and bills of materials
• Build, mount, and install electrical control panels, junction boxes, and operator enclosures
• Install PLC hardware, relays, contactors, circuit breakers, power supplies, terminal blocks, and related components
• Install DIN rail, wire duct, cable trays, conduit, wire harnesses, and cable-management systems
• Perform point-to-point wiring for low-voltage controls and three-phase power distribution
• Wire motors, sensors, switches, actuators, valves, safety devices, remote I/O, and other machine components
• Route, secure, terminate, identify, and label wiring according to drawings and standards
• Connect control panels to field devices and machine-mounted electrical components
• Perform continuity testing, panel checkout, and basic functional verification
• Troubleshoot wiring, electrical components, and machine-control issues
• Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and compliance with electrical drawings
• Support machine startup, installation, commissioning, rework, and repairs when needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Typical Day: Build and install electrical panels and components, route and terminate wiring, connect motors and field devices, perform continuity testing, troubleshoot electrical issues, inspect completed work, and support equipment startup or commissioning as needed
