The Electrical Assembler is responsible for installing, routing, and terminating electrical systems in custom emergency vehicles. This role plays a critical part in building reliable, mission-ready ambulances by following detailed schematics, work instructions, and quality standards. Attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to safety are essential.
Install and assemble electrical components including wiring harnesses, lighting, switches, control panels, sirens, and power distribution systems
Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and work instructions
Route, loom, secure, and label wiring according to company standards and industry best practices
Perform terminations, crimping, soldering, and connector installation
Test electrical systems for functionality, troubleshoot issues, and correct defects
Follow SOPs, quality checks, and documentation requirements
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Collaborate with team members, team leads, and other departments to meet production schedules
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, safety, and efficiency
High school diploma or GED
1+ year of electrical assembly experience (manufacturing, automotive, RV, marine, or similar industries preferred)
Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
Experience using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
Ability to stand, bend, reach, and work in confined spaces within vehicles
Experience in ambulance, emergency vehicle, automotive, or specialty vehicle manufacturing
Knowledge of 12V/24V DC systems
Familiarity with lean manufacturing or structured production environments
IPC/WHMA or similar electrical certification (a plus, not required)
