Job Overview:

Chipton-Ross is seeking 5 Assemblers (Level C ) for a contract opportunity in North Charleston, SC.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):7+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing.7+ years of experience in electrical assembly and/or electronic materials.7+ years of experience in avionics systems troubleshooting, wire bundle installations, and aircraft electrical systems troubleshooting.7+ years of experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications.7+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.Performs functional testing of aircraft electrical systems and components as well as perform aircraft systems troubleshooting and fault repair.Assesses and documents test or analysis data to show compliance.Identifies roadblocks and production constraints escalating issues which cannot be resolved by the team using open and clear communication.Supports teammates to improve overall team performance by providing cross training and mentoring.Adhere to high standards of Safety and Compliance to regulation.Regular and predictable attendance is required.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd or 3rd).Ability to meet physical demands of the role such as: flexion/extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking, climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting).REQUIRED EDUCATION:Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).WORK HOURS FULL TIME/VARIABLE SHIFT: These positions are variable shifts, contractors must be able to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift. Shift dependent on business need.PER CLIENT:Candidates who do not have the flexibility to work all shifts or variable shifts should not apply for this opportunity.ADDITIONAL:Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment – OJT or formal classroom training. 8-10 Weeks of Training, 3 failed assessments results in release.Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
