DataONE Construction is Hiring: Assembly Technicians Millville, NJ

Job Description:

We're seeking dependable, detail-oriented Assembly Technicians to build electrical switchgear in our Millville factory. You'll work from drawings and wiring diagrams to mount components, fabricate and install bus bar, terminate control wiring, and verify every assembly with torque and continuity checks before it leaves the floor. Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, First Shift

What You'll Do:

• Read and follow assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and work instructions to build switchgear to specification.
• Mount and secure components such as breakers, relays, meters, terminal blocks, and DIN rail.
• Cut, bend, drill, and install copper bus bar according to drawings.
• Route, label, and terminate control wiring using the correct connectors, lugs, and crimping tools.
• Perform torque checks on bolted connections and mark or record them per quality procedures.
• Perform continuity and point-to-point wiring checks to confirm assemblies are built correctly.
• Inspect finished assemblies and document results to meet quality standards.
• Package finished products and prepare orders for shipping as needed.
• Assist with receiving inventory and provide general production support.
• Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe, and follow all safety procedures.

What You Need to Bring (Required):

• Hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments such as tape measures, calipers, and torque wrenches.
• Ability to read basic drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and a positive work ethic.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Nice to Have (Preferred):

• Experience in switchgear, panel, or electrical/electronic assembly.
• Electrical background or education, such as trade school, an apprenticeship, or military training.
• Experience fabricating bus bar or terminating control wiring.
• Experience using a multimeter for continuity testing.
• Packing and shipping experience.
