Job Description Summary
The Electrical assembly technician will be responsible for building Okuma designed options from component level on any Okuma built machine in order to meet customer requirements and specifications.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
• Process wiring harnesses from engineering wiring tables and schematics and then use harnesses to build complete option interfaces
• Work through any problems that may be encountered during the assembly process
• Work with electrical engineering when problems/questions arise
• Box the assembly up and complete the transactions in ERP system; then the kits will either go to RDT or the warehouse group to ship
• Adheres to all company employment policies and safe practices
• Performs other duties as assigned and explores opportunities to add value
Experience/Training/Education
• Associates Degree in Electronics or equivalent experience
• 2-5 yrs. experience in Manufacturing with a primary focus on electrical assembly or installation

Physical and Environmental Elements
Physical Demands:
• Ability to sit continuously for approximately 1/4 of normal work shift, and stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms for at least 3/4 of the normal work shift
• Ability to lift and carry, push, or pull up to 40 pounds
• Ability to stoop, crouch and reach
• Ability to talk or hear continuously
• Ability to see clearly to do all work-related tasks (clear or corrected vision at 20 inches or less)
• Finger dexterity is required frequently for over 3/4 of the normal work shift including operating a phone, computer/ electronic equipment, tools, a pallet jack, and a fork lift
Work Environment:
• The majority of the position’s functions are performed in the Okuma warehouse/ showroom. The employee works in an open warehouse area where temperatures may be subject to outdoor conditions in terms of cold and heat. There is exposure to various tools and equipment as well as forklift operations and corresponding noise levels
• A small portion of the position’s functions may be performed in the office environment with standard equipment and moderate noise levels (examples: computers, printers, fax, copiers, light traffic, and phone)
