Job Overview:

This opening is intended to be a Full time position.

  • Provide representation for Cashman Power Systems within an assigned territorial area and / or assigned account listing to ensure effective customer relations and the successful achievement of Industrial, EPG, CSA product support sales goals.
  • Attend 100% of new product deliveries at customer site.
  • Provide a minimum of 1 personal visit to customers 2 weeks after the initial sale or new installation.
  • Provide and coordinate sales activities within assigned territory and / or assigned account to obtain maximum Sales gross revenues and maximum profitability.
  • Monitor all sales and product support activity within assigned territory and / or assigned accounts to ensure that all lost sales are reported, including transaction prices; to facilitate the development of marketing plans and to maximize awareness levels of competitive sales / rental activity.
  • Maintain knowledge of product lines, service and support capabilities, marketing programs and objectives relating to Power Systems sales / rental to ensure effective representation of Cashman Equipment with customer.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, through a minimum of 520 personal visits per year plus other phone and marketing activities as necessary; to determine product support needs and provide information concerning the availability of products and services offered by Cashman Equipment.
  • Assist in implementing department marketing programs designed to increase customer awareness of existing equipment and new products; identify new customers for Cashman and enhance market penetration and sale / CSA.
  • Negotiate and close product support sales / CSA agreements with customers to ensure the best possible position of Cashman in meeting profit objectives in light of customer purchase requirements.
  • Must demonstrate a high sense of urgency in responding to customer problems at all times.

  • Report any unsafe acts or conditions.
  • Deliver Cashman’s “Best Customer Experience” for all internal and external customers on a consistent basis.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Assure completion of all safety and product improvement programs (PIP / PSP) on assigned products. (either; self completed or scheduled for other technicians).
  • Maintain sound financial decision making / customer satisfaction relationships.
  • Maintain maximum attainable profitability for Cashman on all transactions.
  • Advise management when support application changes and adversely affects product support income to wear conditions.
  • Assist Sales Managers in selection of proper equipment / accessories for customer requirements.
  • Assist Sales Manager in development and maintaining of Marketing Plans.
  • Builds and utilizes flat rates in service and product support quotations as necessary.
  • Communication with customer and Cashman internal personnel is Critical, position requires that Products Support Representative take the “LEAD” role in coordinating and disseminating information that impacts / improves customer satisfaction.
  • Build positive relationships with all internal customers (sales personnel, sales managers; parts, service and rental managers) and promote teamwork and good internal communication.
  • Individual must be self directed and have the ability to prioritize work schedule.
  • Complete and maintain reports as required by the other team members, (service managers and sales managers).
  • Review CSA revenues monthly generated by product support rep and support expense reduction goal.
  • Working knowledge of company’s parts, components, equipment and services offered.
  • Proficient computer technology skills, including ability to utilize company authorized software.
  • Trained and certified to operate equipment and a lift truck.
  • Achieves customer satisfaction by building and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Attend and participate in company provided training classes.
  • Ensure that personal conduct reflects favorably upon Cashman Equipment Company at all times. Honest and ethical business practices are required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • 2 Year college degree, in Business or related field preferred, High School diploma required or comparable industry / product experience.
  • Knowledge of Power Generation Products including Switchgear and UPS systems/ Compressed Air Products/ Industrial Engine applications, as well as any other products represented within the Power Solutions Division.
  • 1-5 years experience with Dealer Business Systems (DBS) functionality preferred.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, for contact with customers and co-workers.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend information received via computer terminal, specification reports, financial contracts, technical/business correspondence and reports.
