RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the annual Hearing Conservation
and Respirator/Emergency Response Team - Medical Surveillance Program and
develop/maintain a PAPR Program. - Provide oversight and implement continuous
improvement for Lock-out/Tag-out Program,
including training and procedure
development. - Provide oversight for permitted work
programs for hot work, confined space, and
line/flange break. - Coordinate annual first aid/CPR/AED training
for the site first responders. - Provide required training for Safety at
Evonik and other safety programs. - Manage the safety incentive program, which
includes reviewing and updating the
program guidelines annually, overseeing the
data collection process, and tracking
employee points. - Coordinate with the Janesville Emergency
Response Team to ensure appropriate
training and equipment is obtained to allow
the team to support the plant.
o Communicate with internal and external
experts regarding compliance topics. - Prepare for, participate in, and assist with
correcting findings from corporate and
government audits/inspections.
REQUIREMENTS
- Associate or Bachelor degree in a Safety related field or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in safety/production, preferably in a chemical
manufacturing facility. - Critical Thinking
- Detail orientated and deadline driven
- Strives for continual improvement
- Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety requirements in the
manufacturing environment - Work effectively in a team environment and motivate others toward
compliance and understanding - Ability to administer in-person training to all employees
- Self-directed with prioritization skills
- Analytical evaluation and risk assessment capability
- Proficient with technology including Microsoft Office Products, SAP, and
Outlook.
