1. Develop, maintain, and continuously improve training for occupational environmental, health, and safety.
2. Direct or assist in the development of specialized education and training materials.
3. Conduct specialized safety and environmental training programs to communicate hazard control information.
1. Develop, implement, and direct environmental compliance programs related to hazardous wastes, air permitting, water pollution control, and community right-to-know programs.
2. Oversee and manage NASG’s ISO 14001 system including writing procedures, work instructions, and implementation of the system throughout assigned NASG divisions.
3. Compile and retain records for all NASG divisions in relation to chemical and process activities including, but not limited to, air, water, and chemical emissions and usage.
4. Assists, conducts, and coordinates internal and/or external audits for environmental compliance and ISO 14001.
5. Assist with environmental waste directives to reduce items such as electricity, waste generation, and other items deemed to be feasible to NASG.
1. Survey to identify and evaluate occupational environmental, health, and safety conditions.2. Develop, coordinate and implement controls for hazards identified in hazard analysis.3. Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the hazard control system, policies, and procedures with recommended changes that reflect improved opportunities to eliminate workplace accidents.4. Assist in the preparation of comprehensive recommendations for corrective actions to eliminate or minimize potential or existing hazards.5. Conduct and coordinate on-site inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices.6. Maintains open hazard reports for corrective action and hazard abatement activities.7. Provide advice and counsel concerning all federal, provincial, state, county, and city compliance regulations.
1. Conduct and coordinate in facility Safety Teams (i.e. Safety Task Force, JHSC) and meetings.2. Leads and encourages EHS associate involvement activities to improve working conditions and cost control.3. Assist facilities in compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting accident, loss, and exposure statistical data.4. Investigates accidents and incidents at several NASG Divisions.5. Assist all facilities in the review of injury and property damage reports and compliance of worker's compensation programs.6. Incorporates essential occupational environmental, health, and safety requirements in all purchasing and control actions.
