Job Summary

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a/an EH&S Manager located in Austin, TX .

Reporting to the Director, EH&S the EH&S Manager will be In charge of providing immediate supervision to a group of employees for the implementation of complex activities related to the efficient management of Environmental Health & Safety programs in offices and manufacturing sites in order to ensure that the required company and government standards and regulations are met.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Develop and administer budgets, schedules, and performance requirements.
  • Conduct meetings involving environmental safety, training and awareness programs.
  • Provide direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance and act as advisor to unit, or sub-units and get involved as required to meet schedules or resolve problems.
  • Establish and recommend changes to policies which affect subordinate organization(s).
  • Interact frequently with subordinate supervisors, customers and/or functional peer group managers.
  • Conduct presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules, etc.
  • Manage budget and schedule for moderately complex EH&S activities, including costs of contract labor, equipment and materials.
  • Train staff on any changes to policy and procedures.
  • We are seeking a proactive, experienced, and hands-on Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead all EHS Management Systems at our facility. This role is critical to ensuring a safe, compliant, and a high-performance workplace. You will partner closely with Operations, Facilities, HR, and Corporate and peer EHS groups to drive a strong safety culture, reduce risk, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team,

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Environment or Health Sciences or equivalent experience in EH&S and knowledge of related regulations, codes, and guidelines.
  • +7 years of related experience in EH&S or related position.

Safety Leadership and Compliance

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of site EHS programs, including OSHA compliance, Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding, Hazard Communication, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Electrical Safety, Emergency Response, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, and Contractor safety.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, NFPA, state AED requirements, etc.)
  • Maintains required documentation, permits, and records

Training and Culture Building

  • Develop and deliver EHS training for employees, supervisors, and contractors.
  • Facilitate EHS Committee meetings, toolbox talks, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, hazard reporting, and continuous improvement.

Incident Management

  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Track and analyze EHS metrics to identify trends and drive improvements.
  • Manage Workers' Compensation cases.

Risk Reduction and Continuous Improvement

  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Partner with operations to integrate safety into equipment design, process changes, and new projects.

Environmental Compliance

  • Oversee environmental programs, including waste management, air emissions, stormwater, and chemical storage.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental permits and reporting requirements.
