Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set up, operate, and monitor electron beam (EB) welding equipment.

• Modify and troubleshoot CNC welding programs, including G-code and Siemens controls.

• Perform precision welding to tight tolerances.

• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances down to 0.0001 inch.

• Prepare, position, and align components for welding.

• Monitor automated welding cycles and adjust settings to maintain quality.

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and machine adjustments.

• Assist with assembly, cleaning, fabrication, and other manufacturing processes.

• Inspect welds for defects and quality issues.

• Apply NDE/NDT methods, including fluorescent penetrant (FPI) and X-ray inspection.

• Collaborate with supervisors and technicians to resolve production issues.

• Support additional manufacturing operations as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of precision welding, CNC machining, fabrication, or related manufacturing experience preferred.

• EB welding experience strongly preferred; TIG or automated welding experience a plus.

• Experience operating CNC equipment and using Siemens controls and G-code.

• Ability to edit and troubleshoot CNC programs.

• Strong understanding of precision measurements, tight tolerances, and weld quality.

• NDE/NDT, FPI, or X-ray inspection experience a plus.

• Mechanical troubleshooting and equipment maintenance experience preferred.

• Strong attention to detail in component setup, alignment, and inspection.
