Job Overview:

Are you a teacher who is passionate about the development of children at an early age and loves creating a fun, safe and educational environment for them to thrive? We have the role for you! As an Early Childhood Education Teacher, you will collaborate with a passionate team to create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for infants and children. You will actively foster a fun and creative atmosphere and develop quality relationships with each child under your care, while leading activities to stimulate and develop their intellectual, physical and emotional growth and ensure their security and well-being. You will also implement an explorative curriculum that includes active free play and provides a flexible yet predictable schedule during which children can learn and grow. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring that the facility and all equipment is clean, well-maintained, and safe, and that all children are supervised at all times.

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and typically 1-2 or more years of relevant experience

  • A higher level degree may substitute for experience

  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education

  • Current TB test

  • Ability to obtain a Sheriff's Fingerprint Card, and attend 24 hours of continuing education courses in the area of Early Childhood Development per year

  • Proven communication, team building, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to demonstrate compassion, fairness, cultural awareness, flexibility, and respectfulness

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in child development and knowledge of early education theories and practices

Physical Job Requirements:

  • Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps

  • Frequently bending, stooping, kneeling as you interact with children at their physical level

  • Occasionally lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs
