Job Overview:

Driver Recruiters are primarily responsible for recruiting CDL-A Drivers. Recruiters also coordinate advertisement such as job boards, social media, and external sources to increase driver leads, maintaining applicant tracking system, interviewing, screening, and verifying pre-employment safety requirements meet company standards for all potential candidates. 

Recruiting, hiring, and retaining drivers is an essential part of the success of the company.  We are looking for a self-motivated individual that has knowledge in the transportation industry or previous experience in recruiting, sales and customer service and has the drive to learn Driver Recruiting. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Sources drivers through referrals and job postings.
  • Develop new strategies to increase the Driver candidate pipeline.
  • Reviews and verifies VOE’s for regulated driving experience 
  • Interviews applicants via phone, conduct background checks, process MVRs, process DAC Reports, and verify all DOT requirements are met.
  • Determine qualified candidates
  • Reviews all completed driver files for accuracy and thoroughness. 
  • Arranges for in-house and external orientation and travel arrangements
  • Obtain documentation for DOT file, personnel file, and medical file.
  • Maintains contact with the drivers throughout the on-boarding process to insure a successful sourcing and on-boarding process
  • Meet hiring goals and expectation
  • Assist in ushering drivers through their first 90 days.
  • Ensure all required paperwork and documentation is provided to the Company in a timely manner 

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years’ experience in DOT Recruiting 
  • Proficient with MS Office; Outlook, Microsoft, and Basic Excel
  • Experience with recruiting technologies is a plus
  • Knowledge of DOT requirements 
  • McLeod and Samsara experience a plus
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • The ability to travel occasionally.
  • Exceptional planning and time management
