Hartung Glass Industries is looking for a dependable and safety-minded Class A CDL Delivery Driver to join our team in Salt Lake City. This is more than just a driving job. You’ll be a critical link between our Caldwell, Idaho operation and our Salt Lake City, Utah location, making sure our glass products arrive safely, accurately, and on time.
Your route will begin in Caldwell, ID, where you’ll load your truck before heading to our Salt Lake City location. You’ll stay overnight in Salt Lake City and return to Idaho.
- This position is ideal for a driver who enjoys being on the road, takes pride in a job well done, and understands that safely handling a load is just as important as safely driving it.
And yes—this is hands-on! Our drivers handle glass when loading and unloading product. This is not a hook-and-pull position.
Your Role
As a Delivery Driver with Hartung Glass Industries, you’ll be responsible for safely transporting glass products between our Idaho and Utah operations while providing reliable service along the way.
Requirements
- Load & Deliver: Start your route at our Caldwell, ID location, load your assigned product, and safely transport it to our Salt Lake City location.
- Hands-On Glass Handling: Secure, load, unload, and handle glass products safely and carefully.
- Overnight Route: Stay overnight in Salt Lake City before returning to Idaho according to the established route schedule.
- Safety First: Perform vehicle inspections, follow DOT requirements, maintain safe driving practices, and ensure loads are properly secured.
- Customer & Team Interaction: Communicate professionally with customers, warehouse teams, operations, and other Hartung team members.
- Accurate Documentation: Maintain vehicle and driver logs and complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
- Problem Solving: Communicate delivery issues, backorders, returns, or other concerns promptly and help find solutions when needed.
- Vehicle Care: Perform routine maintenance checks and report any vehicle issues or safety concerns.
What We’re Looking For
- Class A CDL license – Required
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Ability to pass a road test and DOT UA test
- Ability to safely lift, handle, load, and unload glass materials
- Experience with safe driving practices and vehicle inspection procedures
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently while being a dependable team player
- A safety-first mindset and commitment to following DOT and company requirements
- Ability to provide professional, courteous service and resolve issues as needed
