Position Summary:

Drafting Checker will collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and drafters to verify design intent and compliance with project requirements. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review and check engineering drawings and designs for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to drafting standards.
• Verify dimensions, tolerances, material specifications, and assembly instructions.
• Ensure compliance with industry codes, company standards, and customer requirements.
• Identify and document drawing discrepancies and communicate feedback to designers and engineers.
• Collaborate with design teams to resolve errors and improve design processes.
• Maintain drawing documentation and ensure proper version control.
• Assist in developing and updating drafting guidelines and best practices.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• This position will report to the Dallas/Ft. Worth TX office location.
• 20 years or more experience in detailing/checking.
• Associate degree or diploma in Drafting, Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
• Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
