Job Overview:
1.0 SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The Drafter will be primarily responsible for the creation of 2D P&ID drawings for midstream oil and gas production using CADWorx P&ID.
2.0 REPORTS TO / SUPERVISES
Reports To: Design Manager
Supervises: N/A
3.0 RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will have the following general/minimum responsibilities:
- Develop 2D P&ID’s base on existing design and/or new designs.
- Interpret redlines from the engineering team to incorporate into existing or new P&ID’s
- Utilize custom CUI menus, LISP routines and drafting standards.
4.0 EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE
The following education, experience and knowledge are preferred for this position:
- Basic understanding of AUTOCAD, CADWorx P&ID, Vault.
- Working knowledge in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, etc..
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with engineering and design teams.
- Ability to work multiple tasks with limited supervision to deliver assignments on or before their respective due dates.
- Understanding of drafting standards and quality requirements.
5.0 WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
- Occasional trips to shop environments which may include exposure to dust, dirt and forklift traffic.
- Frequently sitting and operating a computer.
- Some travel between different company locations and for vendor and/or client contact.
