Job Summary:
The Dough Maker is responsible for but not limited to the following mixing and loading ingredients into dough kettle according to batch sheets in a timely manner, transporting dough to production areas for use, cleaning machine parts and tools, and ensuring general housekeeping is maintained to meet GMP, quality and safety regulations.
Essential Job Functions:
Ability to work safely and follow all safety rules, policies, and regulations
Ability to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for position
Ability to move up to 55 lbs.
Good communication skills
Basic math skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to move wheeled cart weighing approximately 1200 lbs approximately 30 feet
Job Duties:
Obtain daily schedule and tools/utensils necessary for start up
Compete all required documentation in English (e.g., scale verification, batch blend, time blend, SSOP, ABM belt check, centerline check, inventory tracking form)
Overview and assemble cleaned machine parts as required
Set machine controls to proper settings according to procedure
Load ingredients to dough kettles and monitor batch process
Review SAP recipes in English
Transport dough to the line in a timely manner
Clean machine parts, tools and utensils and return to 5s position
Perform general housekeeping duties (e.g., sweeping, mopping, etc.)
May perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Ability to understand the affects of product damage and loss
Ability to solve problems independently
Ability to work individually as well as with others as a team at all levels
Knowledge of GMP’s
Ability to be LOTO certified
Ability to be PIT certified
Ability to work with pork, chicken, beef and shellfish products in addition to many other ingredients and allergens
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience: Minimum 3 months of production or related experience required.
