Distribution & Warehouse Supervisor (2nd shift)

Reporting to the Distribution Center Manager, the Distribution & Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for
supervising all activities of the Shipping Department, assuring the efficient utilization of equipment and manpower to maintain delivery schedules and produce a
high quality product. As well as coordinating all activities of the Shipping Department in order to assure accurate records of inventory as well as timely shipping of finished
product to ensure customer satisfaction.

Specific Job Duties

  • Leads and develops a safety culture for zero accidents

  • Supervises shipping associates, instructing and training them in proper methods of performing work

  • Oversee receipts of all goods (finished and raw materials)

  • Maintain accuracy of finished goods inventory

  • Responsible for the shipment of scrap

  • Oversee interplant shipments and receipts of raw material inventory and sub-assemblies

  • Process all paperwork associated with above-described duties

  • Administers and documents corrective actions as needed, ensuring adherence to company policies while coaching team members to maintain performance and conduct standards.

  • Payroll Management: Reviews, verifies, and approves weekly team employee timecards in ADP, ensuring accurate recording of hours, PTO, and schedule adjustments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in warehouse supervision.

  • Strong project management/supervision skills in a team-based environment.

  • Fully in person role on 2nd shift (4pm -12am), candidates must reside within the local area or within a reasonable commuting distance.

Experience and Skills

  • A results driven individual who has demonstrated ability working in a high-performance manufacturing/warehouse environment.

  • Proven experience in warehouse management.

  • Must have good attention to details but be able to manage the big picture and have a “make the number’s” mentality.

  • Must be able to manage multiple, complex tasks on daily basis.

  • Must be able to motivate, communicate and drive continuous improvement.

  • Critical thinker, with excellent analytical abilities.

  • Good written and oral communication skills.

  • Solid planning, leadership, and administrative skills.

  • High energy demonstrating urgency and fast pace.

  • Good understanding of business principles and practices; can effectively manage the manufacturing function with a bottom-line result.
