Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Distribution Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our distribution facility. The ideal candidate will be bilingual (English/Spanish preferred), proficient in Microsoft Excel, experienced in managing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and possess excellent communication skills. This role is essential to ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective distribution processes while maintaining high operational standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee daily distribution center operations shipping.
- Manage and coach team leads and warehouse staff to achieve performance goals.
- Monitor and analyze KPIs such as on-time shipping, order accuracy, productivity, and inventory accuracy.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to generate reports, analyze operational data, and support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Customer Service, Transportation, Inventory) to resolve operational issues.
- Serve as a bilingual liaison between English- and Spanish-speaking staff to ensure clear and effective communication across all levels.
- Conduct regular team meetings, provide performance feedback, and foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Support system upgrades and participate in cross-functional projects as needed.
- Promote and enforce health and safety protocols, reinforcing a culture of safety throughout the facility.
- Adheres to 5S Standards
- Maintain compliance to ISO 9001 and 14001 standards
- Perform other job responsibilities, as necessary and/or assigned
Qualifications
SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures
- Must be able to work in a warehouse environment where the temperature is affected by weather conditions
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to motivate and manage teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and strategic thinking abilities.
- High level of time management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment with a strong sense of urgency.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal and written) required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charts, and formulas).
- Strong knowledge of warehouse KPIs and data-driven performance management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- May require occasional lifting and walking the facility floor.
- Some weekend or evening availability may be required during peak periods.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in distribution/logistics management center.
- Experience with B2B Operations is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) is required.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal and written) required.
- Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and ERP systems is a plus.
