Position Summary 

The Director of Sales, West leads regional sales strategy, revenue growth, and customer partnerships across distributors, dealers, contractors, builders, and national accounts. This role develops and coaches regional sales teams, expands market share, and drives profitable growth across residential and commercial markets. Working closely with internal partners, the Director strengthens customer relationships and supports successful product adoption throughout the region.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute a regional sales strategy across two-step distribution, dealers, national accounts, builders, and specialty trade channels.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing field sales team focused on territory growth, customer support, and consistent execution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and channel partners.
  • Drive pricing strategies, negotiate customer programs, and manage rebate structures and annual agreements in alignment with company goals.
  • Partner with Product Management, Operations, and Marketing to support product launches, training, and field adoption.
  • Manage sales forecasts, pipeline visibility, and territory plans to align customer demand with production, supply, and inventory.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and channel dynamics to identify growth opportunities and guide regional decisions.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with distributors and dealers to assess performance, inventory, and opportunities for growth.
  • Partner with Installation Services to deliver training for contractors, installers, and dealers that strengthens product knowledge and drives pull-through demand.
  • Promote a culture of safety, integrity, accountability, and customer focus.

What You Will Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree; an advanced degree or relevant industry certifications are a plus.
  • At least seven years of experience in building materials, including leadership of regional or national sales teams.
  • Strong knowledge of two-step distribution, dealer networks, and builder and installer channels.
  • Demonstrated success managing customer programs, pricing structures, and complex channel negotiations.
  • Proven ability to lead field sales teams, develop talent, and execute strategies that deliver profitable growth.
  • Strong financial acumen, including forecasting, understanding profit and loss statements, and evaluating program profitability.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently to support sales teams, customers, and industry events.
