Director of Quality Job Summary

The Director of Quality is responsible for leading and managing the development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of quality systems and processes throughout our organization. The ideal candidate ensures that the company meets quality standards set by regulatory and customer requirements. This position is also responsible for ensuring that quality practices are in compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality policies, procedures, and objectives to ensure goals are achieved
  • Identifies areas for improvement, implementing corrective and preventative actions and driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization
  • Develop and implement industry-specific quality standards to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
  • Lead and manage the Quality Assurance team
  • Utilize statistical analysis to quantify opportunities for improvement in processes
  • Analyze and report on quality metrics, trends, and performance
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to standards
  • Monitor supplier performance and evaluate supplier auditing processes
  • Serve as a liaison between the organization and external parties
  • Develop and implement quality training programs

Qualifications


Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Quality Management, Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control preferred
  • Proven track record of successful process improvement initiatives
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, ISO 13485, and ISO 14001
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $150,000 to $180,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. This role is bonus/and or incentive eligible.
