Manage the day-to-day operations of the Electrical building services group to improve staff productivity and efficiency of project delivery, and drive financial goals while delivering on-time, profitable projects within the discipline. Drive profitability, expertise, and brand recognition within the discipline. Provides guidance to discipline staff on engineering approach and design philosophy. Serves as recognized expert in discipline for company and recognized as expert within industry.


  • Provide engineering design and technical expertise on project related work. Able to coordinate design documents for multiple projects at one time.
  • Provides guidance on technical design to project staff and supervises work product related to discipline.
  • Prepares basis of design and concept design for project related work.
  • Provides design review for projects not actively engaged in for quality control purposes.
  • Prepare clear and concise technical papers, documents, specifications and design reports.
  • Practical knowledge of engineering and construction documents and construction process to develop design documents.
  • Has technical expertise in one or more areas of discipline and is able to effectively demonstrate expertise.
  • Able to understand project documents, specifications, drawings and design reports.
  • Monitor internal and external communication with clients to ensure mutually agreed upon expectations are met.
  • Drive the quality assurance process to confirm it is implemented and quality control checks are completed for each project in a timely manner prior to each project milestone.
  • Implement and manage monthly staff training programs.
  • Review and adjust staff levels based on revenue. Coordinate with the VP of Operations as appropriate. Interface with Human Resources as required.
  • Ensure the electrical discipline delivers project discipline scope on or under budget and on time.
  • Mentor project managers within the discipline and provide guidance to effectively manage project delivery and project financials across disciplines.
  • Review and analyze discipline revenue, accounts receivable, projections, and other financial initiatives together with the VP of Operations and the accounting team.
  • Identify recruiting needs based on staff assessment.
  • Complete staff performance reviews.
  • Determine compensation adjustments.



  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent experience.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven ability to perform the duties specified with prior project experience at an equivalent level of responsibility.
  • Minimum 10 years experience.
  • Preference to be located in Nevada or Southern California

Licenses and Certifications

  • PE in Nevada, California or ability to obtain
