Its 185,000 employees enable the company to operate at the edge of known science as they imagine and deliver solutions that push the boundaries in quantum physics, electric propulsion, directed energy, hypersonics, avionics and cybersecurity. The company, formed in 2020 through the combination of Raytheon Company and the United Technologies Corporation aerospace businesses, is headquartered in Arlington, VA.

The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team:

This role will report to the VP of ES OSCQ Apps and support the definition of the Enterprise Services “OneRTX” future‑state vision for Connected Factory planning, execution, visualization, and near‑real‑time data orchestration, along with the corresponding digital enablement roadmap.

This Director will lead the development and sustainment activities for innovative, compliant IT digital architecture with a primary focus on Connected Factory capabilities—including Ignition-based manufacturing applications, event-driven data brokers, automated tier boards, action trackers, and related digital continuity solutions. This role will shape IT solutions that span enterprise-level applications and factory‑specific digital capabilities across RTX’s three business units—Raytheon, Pratt & Whitney, Collins Aerospace—and corporate functions, with a primary focus on advancing connected manufacturing and real‑time operational excellence enablement.

As a recognized technical leader, the candidate will help define, implement and sustain enterprise architecture direction, establish technology standards, and deliver actionable strategies that drive RTX’s factory modernization goals. This individual will be responsible for aligning and coordinating multiple Connected Factory initiatives across the business units, integrating emerging technologies, and guiding solution architecture and sustainment teams to deliver value‑driven outcomes. A major area of focus will be driving harmonization, reusability, and adoption of standardized Ignition applications, event broker patterns, tier board frameworks, and action‑tracking capabilities across the enterprise.

The position requires exceptional communication and leadership skills, as the candidate will collaborate closely with senior functional leaders, internal partners, and external vendors. A deep understanding of RTX's structure, business units, functional organizations, and global business services is highly desirable.

This position will partner with Enterprise Services and Business Unit Digital & Process teams to ensure functional requirements are met through standardized, scalable, and harmonized digital solutions.
