DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for Engineering and Programming functions. Defines, establishes, and enforces corporate policies and procedures. Provides technical support for internal and external customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Provide leadership and direction to the Engineering team
- Manage Manufacturing Engineering
- Assign work to direct reports, appraise performance, reward and discipline employees, address complaints and resolve problems
- Identify department training needs and provide for appropriate training of employees
- Manage CNC Programming
- Manage Document Control
- Identify and maintain appropriate staffing levels
- Develop and enforce implement and enforce ISO relevant Procedures
- Implement and enforce technical information exchange
- Manage process improvement activities
- Manage cost reduction projects
- Technical liaison for customer
- Project management
- Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted safe work practices
- Perform additional related duties as assigned
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:
- Certified Engineering manager
- Six Sigma Green Belt
- Lean Six Sigma
- Project management
- Lean Enterprise Solutions
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- BA or BS in Engineering
- 10-15 years experience in a contemporary CNC environment, ideally within the semiconductor industry (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and management
- Computer literate including, but no limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Organization and planning skills
- Analytical/writing skills
- Ability to plan and manage complex projects
- Ability to plan and execute presentations to large groups of people
PHYSICAL DEMANDS WHILE PERFORMING THE JOB:
- Sitting for extended periods of time
- Occasionally walking
WORKING ENVIRONMENT OF THE JOB:
- The employee will be required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent exposure to hazardous materials commonly used in a manufacturing environment (i.e., safety glasses and shoes) when entering the shop floor area.
