Summary
As a Technical Operator, you will operate either a roll press machine,
notching machine, or
slitting machine, depending on assignment, in accordance with established work instructions. This operator position supports production volumes and quality standards outlined in the production plan. You will use equipment and computerized systems to produce, assemble, evaluate, process, and package product in a clean, climate-controlled environment.
This is a swing shift position
working
Monday–Thursday, with shifts of
6:00 AM–6:15 PM
or
6:00 PM–6:15 AM
as part of a
24/7, 365-day production schedule.
Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment and materials for production
- Operate equipment per OP Manual, inputting materials and monitoring defects/loss for continuous operation
- Conduct self-inspections and monitor product quality
- Maintain accurate records in GMES (Global Manufacturing Execution System)
- Track all non-conformances and scrap
- Comply with health, safety, environmental, and fire regulations
- Perform 5S audits; maintain production logs, quality checks, and maintenance logs
- Keep work area clean and organized per 5S3R Standards
- Follow cleaning SOPs during downtime, including cleaning assigned machines and areas
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Proficient mechanical knowledge
- Basic math skills and understanding of quality control processes
- Experience in a manufacturing or assembly line environment
Physical Requirements
Must be able to properly and regularly wear the following PPE for up to 12 hours:
- Safety glasses
- Steel-toed shoes
- Nitrile gloves
- Ear protection
- Clean room suit
Must be able to do the following repeatedly for up to 12 hours:
- Lift/push/pull up to 65-75lbs.
- Stoop, twist, bend
- Reach overhead
- Sit and/or stand
- Use hands and fingers to perform tasks
