Job Overview:

Injection Molding Press Operator/Technician:The Injection Molding Press Operator will be responsible for running and setting up a press and assisting with monitoring auto press operations with cross training into other manufacturing operations as needed. To be successful in this role, a candidate must possess the skills required to achieve volume, quality, and cost goals within defined production schedules.

Duties/Responsibilities: Daily production of parts to meet manufacturing schedules Learning the safe operation of a variety of electric presses, hydraulic presses, and injection blow molders Reading and filling out process documentation Participation in production activities in other manufacturing areas as needed Provide input for improved manufacturing methods Ensure preventative maintenance requirements are maintained per SOPs Abiding by all company safety programs Maintain and clean the shop and equipment as needed Update job work Instructions and/or SOPs as the position evolves Support the company's quality initiatives Continually seek to improve work processes and individual performance Lead efforts to create and sustain Lean principles regarding the storage of materials as well as the organization and safety of the Warehouse floor

Duties/Responsibilities: Bring molds from Tooling following the schedule Set molds in press Cycle molds to set up guidelines Complete Setup paperwork as directed by Supervisor (i.e. Cycle, Sequence, and Guidelines) Conduct troubleshoots cycles working together with quality control Return molds to Tooling Clean molds Check counts on running molds Do the tests for humidity in materials as scheduled Check the materials being ground as needed Follow instructions to prevent contamination of materials Other duties assigned by supervisor

Requirements: Mechanical aptitude and experience Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations Ability to plan and prioritize workload and work within defined timetables Strong communication skills, work ethic, and ability to problem solve Ability to work with a cross functional team Ability to communicate ona verbal and written basis Job
