Job Title: Dimensional Inspector

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated Dimensional Inspector to join our Quality team. In this role, you will conduct visual and precision inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure products meet exact internal and external standards. You will collect and log inspection data, identify non-conformances, and collaborate closely with production and quality teams to maintain high standards of product integrity and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Perform visual and precise dimensional inspections on parts and utility structures across all stages of production.
Measure and inspect product dimensions, material hardness, and coating or plating quality.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
Set up and operate various measuring equipment and precision gages.
Accurately complete inspection records, logs, and reporting databases in a timely manner.
Identify, document, and report non-conformances; follow non-conformance procedures to verify re-work or approved repairs.
Maintain production efficiency standards while ensuring strict quality control.
Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Collaborate professionally across departments to support quality and operational goals.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED required; 1–3 years of experience in quality inspection or a relevant manufacturing setting (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Technical Skills: Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and operate measuring instruments and inspection gages.
Computer Proficiency: Intermediate technical capability, including experience with ERP software, Microsoft Windows, and MS Office Suite.
Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong multi-tasking abilities, and a collaborative team attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in machining or plastic injection molding environments.
Familiarity with formal problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 5-Why, 8D, Root Cause Analysis).
